OXO Madrid, in partnership with the community AIDI, presents the third edition of this series of meetings that connects video games with major topics of general interest. On this occasion, the focus will be on the TIME, exploring how games have played with our perception of the past, present and future to create unique experiences.
From time travel to narrative structures that break with the linearity of time, this session invites us to reflect on how video games exploit these dynamics to surprise, challenge and engage the player. Which titles have managed to best exploit time jumps? Why are we so fascinated by this narrative?
The conversation will be based on video games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Portal 2, Braid, Chrono Trigger o Dishonored 2, and will be built on public input, in a participatory and accessible space designed for all types of players.
