OXO Museo Madrid hosts the official presentation of the new book by Diego Vargas:
“When passion becomes success”, the long-awaited second volume of the collection FIVE HARD FIVE: The history of video games in Spain for everyone, edited by Dolmen Editorial.
This new chapter covers the period from 1987 to 1989, a crucial period when the Spanish video game was no longer just a hobby but a real industry. With more than 65 unpublished testimonies of professionals from companies such as ERBE, studies such as Topo Soft, Ibersoft, and iconic publications such as Micromania o MicroHobby, This work is positioned as an essential piece to understand the evolution of video games in our country.
An essential event for lovers of videogames, digital history and Spanish pop culture, who will be able to learn first-hand the ins and outs of this project from its author.
🎤 About the author
Diego Vargas (Mar del Plata, Argentina) has lived in Spain since the late 70s. Passionate about videogames, he worked for more than 20 years in marketing and advertising before devoting himself entirely to videogame design, after training in Game Design at U-tad.
He is the creator of the podcast FIVE HARD FIVE: The history of video games in Spain, The award-winning and nominated for multiple industry awards, including the Podgaming Awards.
