On 8 December at 12:00 noon, OXO Video Game Museum will host one of the most influential figures in the history of video games: Henk Rogers, the architect of the advent of Tetris to the world and of one of the most exciting episodes in the industry.
In this talk, Rogers will present his book The Perfect Game - Tetris: From Russia With Love, The book unveils the tensions, alliances, and vagaries that made it possible for a simple puzzle born in the Soviet Union to become a global phenomenon.
Through his personal experience - marked by travel, impossible negotiations, and a deep love of game design - Rogers shares a unique look at how he Tetris transcended borders, systems and generations. A story about perseverance, where the game reveals itself as a cultural bridge and a symbol of universal ingenuity.
The session will also be a space for open conversation, in which the author will talk to the audience about the challenges and anecdotes that shaped what many consider to be the perfect videogame.
