OXO Museo Madrid becomes the epicentre of video game culture with the presentation and book signing of «Una araña en la red del videojuego», the literary debut of José Antonio Luna, published by Héroes de Papel. This special event invites us to explore more than 40 years of history of the iconic Spider-Man in the world of videogames, from the days of the Atari 2600 to the spectacular Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5.
A journey through Spider-Man's legacy in video games
Since his first appearance in the comic book Amazing Fantasy #15, the hero created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko has transcended the comic strips to become a cultural symbol. «A Spider in the Video Game Web» immerses us in the digital universe of the wall-crawler with an approach that combines cultural criticism, essay and journalistic reportage. Throughout its pages, the book not only reviews the technical and artistic evolution of video games starring Spider-Man, but also analyses their political and social impact.
